Just a quick Monday update to start your week off right. Spencer received this Spiderman scooter and helmet for his birthday and is actually getting pretty good at it.

nothing better
3
Spencer is 3. If you ask him it sounds more like "free". Three is a big one. Here is what three means to us.
1. Three means little boy, not toddler, not baby.
2. It means this year his birthday party was "for friends" as he requested. Friends? Yeah, he actually has friends. Granted they all live within five houses of us, but three means friends.
3. Three means every single kiss given to him is wiped off immediately. Even when I wake him with a kiss at 5:45 AM, he remembers to wipe it off.
4. Presents are different when you turn 3. Scooters, baseball gloves and bats, helmets and knee pads. These are very different from the presents before.
6. Three scares me, because next comes 4, then 5, then 18. I am not ready to move past three.
You are three in all its glory!

you
You are 6 (and a half) months old. Bigger than your brother was at this age, 23 pounds and 29 3/4 inches. You want to crawl so bad. Spencer is your best friend, Hammy a close second. You have your 2 bottom teeth and are working on more. Rarely do you cry, some will swear they have never heard it happen. You give hugs, you do. When I am holding you, you scrunch up your knees and bury your head in to me shoulder. That is your hug. When your brother so much as glances your way, your face lights up and your arms flail wildly. I wish I could have you with me all the time. Having you in the house makes our family complete. Having you makes me miss your brother and daddy even more when I am away. You won't stay little for me, this I am sure of...but please stay sweet.

crashed
A few funny things about this picture:
1. It was taken in the evening after Lincoln's first day at his new daycare. (Our current provider is on maternity leave so the boys have been jumbled around a bit the past month.
2. Lincoln is laying on the floor of our family room while we ate at the kitchen table. He was so tired he didn't mind the noise.
3. Look closely, his pacifier is labeled with his name...like a label is going to prevent some random kid from popping this in his mouth if it ends up on the floor.
4. Linc is wearing a daycare Tshirt. I sent 2 change of close with him and he messed through both of them on his first day.
5. See that sweet baby dimple on his elbow? He has those everywhere and I love them!
sweet summertime
