more to come

I promise more holiday pictures will come shortly. But for now, a picture of Lincoln using presents as a step stool. Hopefully that one wasn't fragile!

baby behind bars

Let's hope this isn't a taste of things to come.

This face could get him out of any trouble he has gotten in to.

This face just screams T-R-O-U-B-L-E!

you catch it, you eat it

A highlight from our trip to Belize was an all day fishing and snorkeling excursion that was a birthday gift to Scott from my parents.

The day started with fishing:

Then we did some snorkeling:

Lunch consisting of: The fish we caught, lobster that our guide speared while snorkeling, and pineapple and peppers all grilled to perfection. Fresh, handmade flour tortillas. And beer. All prepared for us on a remote island:

And more snorkeling:

we give thanks

This Thanksgiving we traveled to Iowa to celebrate. We spent the time doing things most families do on a holiday such as Thanksgiving; eating, shopping, talking, shouting, corralling kids, drinking, eating some more, dancing on pool tables...you know, the stuff family traditions are made of!

In honor of the Thanksgiving season, her is why we are thankful:

1. That despite the long drive and cramped care, we were able to spend Thanksgiving with the Schulers for the first time in my memory.

2. That Scott drove and went well over the speed limit the entire time. Thus resulting in a much shorter drive!

3. For my Grandma and Grandpa who started all of this crazy familiness:

4. That we, Scott and I, are taking a 5 year anniversary trip to Belize this week!

5. For our parents who are coming to watch our children!

6. That even though Spencer doesn't have any true cousins, he has all of these kids and more. And will never know the difference!

7. For Lincoln's new best friend:

8. For all of you.

9. For each other.

10. For our trip to Belize! (Had to throw it in again because we are really, really, thankful!)
