i don't wrestle

There are many things I do with my boys. Play cars, build forts, do puzzles, hide and seek, the list is practically infinite. With one main exception, I don't wrestle.

Frankly, it is a lot of work and one of us, usually me, always ends up getting hurt.

But Daddy, he'll wrestle. As in, throw down on the bed, tackle on the floor, tickle until you cry, get so sweaty you have to take your shirt and shorts off kind of wrestle. (Come on people, we are talking about the kids here.)

What starts as an innocent pillow fight in the guest room can quickly turn into a WWF style smackdown until an ultimate winner is declared...see for yourself:

A little Tag-Team-Tickling.

Little Bro gets some assistant from Daddy on a tackle.

Down to the undies, this means business.

The winner and still champion, Spenny J.

wonder

He's not a baby any more. He is one and a half, now closer to two than one. The time has flown with him. We are always so busy, always going somewhere, doing something. Which leaves me to wonder, where did my baby go?

But as soon as I ask the question, I am quickly reminded that he is still so young, still pushing his boundaries and exploring the world for himself. Learning right from wrong, consequences for his actions.

Exploring.
Hearing.
Seeing.
Tasting?

i'm behind

Little man had a mean diaper rash when we left for vacation, and nothing mends a tush like a free bottom in fresh Wisconsin air.

it's a family tradition

The Schuler Family joined together last weekend at the Chrouser Compound to celebrate my grandparent's 60th Wedding Anniversary!

and celebrate we did.

My Grandpa has a thing for shots of Whiskey. As in, everyone of age takes one, no complaining, no excuses, and he pours them full. Shots can be used to celebrate a Packer Touchdown, Christmas, Birth of a Baby, or in this case, 60 years of wedded bliss.

So bring on the dixie cups and let the fun begin.

many more to come

but tonight, just one.

The Schuler Women

Thank you to each and every one of these women, and the 11 who are missing from the photo, thank you for making me who I am.

We are confident and headstrong women, who, each in our own way, are making a life for ourselves, our family, and our friends.

May we all find joy, gratitude and peace knowing we will always have a place to belong.
